Sam Querrey will come into the tournament after a disastrous Australian Open campaign, where he was dumped out in the first round on straight sets by Italian Lorenzo Sonego. The American has been in quite a disappointing form over the last year or so, mostly exiting tournaments within the first two rounds. The 34-year-old is currently ranked 118th in the world.

Meanwhile, Kevin Anderson too exited the Australian Open 2022 at the first round, being defeated by American Reilly Opelka. The South African has had a pretty disappointing start to the new season. The former World No 5 has seven singles career titles to his name. The 35-year-old veteran rebounded from his knee surgery in 2021 won his 7th ATP title at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships by defeating Jenson Brooksby 7–6, 6–4.

Sam Querrey

Both Sam Querrey and Kevin Anderson had immensely disappointing campaigns at the Australian Open 2022, crashing out in the first round. Thus, both would be looking for redemption to get their respective seasons back on track. Anderson would be a slight favourite here as he has been in better form over the past year than Sam.

Match Prediction- Anderson to win in three sets.
