The ATP Delray Beach Open 2022 will be the 30th edition of the tournament and will be the second tournament played in the USA this season. It will be an ATP-250 category tournament and will be played on outdoor hardcourts. Defending champion Hubert Hurkacz will not be defending his title this year as he did not sign up for the event.

Men’s Singles Draw Analysis and Prediction
Top Half
Top-seed Cameron Norrie will start in the second round directly and will expect Oscar Otte who awaits his opponent from the qualifiers. Peter Gojowczyk takes on Andreas Seppi in the first round while Thanasi Kokkinakis takes on last year’s runner-up and this year’s 5th seed Sebastian Korda in an exciting first-round clash.
4th seeded Tommy Paul also gets a first-round bye and will prepare for Sam Querrey who is likely to advance into the second round after taking on his qualifier opponent. Kevin Anderson will start against local lad Steve Johnson with the winner set to take on 6th seeded Jenson Brooksby who will start against a qualifier.

Bottom Half
2nd seeded Reilly Opelka gets a first-round bye and will await the winner of the match between Daniel Altmaier and wildcard entrant Jack Sock. In an all-American clash, Denis Kudla will take on Brandon Nakashima with the winner set to met 7th seeded Adrian Mannarino who awaits a qualifier.
3rd seeded Grigor Dimitrov has a bye in round 1 and will start his campaign against Jordan Thompson who will be the favourite in his clash against one of the qualifiers. Americans Tennys Sandgren and Marcos Giron will clash in a fiery clash in the first round and the winner will take on the winner from the clash of John Millman and 8th seeded Maxime Cressy.

Semifinals
It could be the first time that Norrie and Brooksby could meet on the court. While Norrie has been to a shaky start this season, Brooksby has already made the semi-finals in the Dallas Open and looks slightly better than the Brit. Giron and Opelka haven’t met on the ATP Tour so far and with both of them in the semi-finals in Dallas, a similar performance can be expected in Delray beach as well.

Final
The two Americans have played on the Tour just once meeting in Antwerp last year. While Brooksby had a good season last year, Opelka’s slightly better experience could turn the match in his favour and give him his first ATP title of the season.
