Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Lorenzo Musetti : Preview
Stefanos Tsitsipas moves into his 6th semi-final of the year with his win in the quarter-finals. He has been in sensational form throughout the season which is not justified by his solitary title that came at the 2021 Monte Carlo Masters. Of the 5 semi-finals he has played this season, he has progressed to the finals on 3 occasions.
With a bye in the first round, Tsitsipas won both of his matches in straight-sets to move into this semi-final with a scoreline of 6-1, 6-4 and 6-3, 6-4 respectively.
Lorenzo Musetti moves into his second semi-final of the season on the ATP Tour as he has been busy on the Challenger level as well. The Italian teenager has been making long strides into the tournament but has failed to reach the final rounds. This is his second semi-final qualification after he reached the final four at the Acapulco Open 2021 in Mexico as well.
He comes into this tie from two 3-setters in the first two round and a straight-set victory of 6-3, 7-6(2) in the quarter-finals to set up the meeting with Tsitsipas.
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Lorenzo Musetti : Head to Head
This will be the second meeting between the duo, which will also be their second semi-final meet after their Acapulco Open 2021 semi-final meeting where Stefanos won the match in straight sets and also leads the head-to-head tie 1-0.
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Lorenzo Musetti : Prediction
It will take a Herculean effort from the young Italian to defeat the in-form Greek who has been in terrific form so far this year and looks the absolute favourite to progress into his fourth finals of the season looking for his 2nd title.
Prediction: Stefanos Tsitsipas to win in straight sets.
