Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Ilya Ivashka: Preview
Felix Auger-Aliassime defeated Frenchman Jo Wilfried Tsonga 7-6, 6-2 in the second round. It was a pretty even first set as both players traded a break of serve each to take the set into the tiebreak, but the Canadian held his nerves to edge out the opening set. The second set was more straightforward as Auger-Aliassime breezed through the set in 32 minutes to wrap up the match and progress to the quarter-finals. The 21-year-old is a former finalist in Marseille, he was the runner-up in 2020 where he lost to Stefanos Tsitispas in the finals and will be looking to have another shot at the title this year.
Ilya Ivashka notched back-to-back wins for the first time in nearly five months as he defeated Stefano Travaglia 6-1, 6-3. The Belarusian was dominant throughout the match and 96% of his first serve points and held all his service games to pick up a comfortable win and book a place in the quarter-finals. Ivashka skipped the Australian hardcourt season because of an injury and began his 2022 season at the ATP Montpellier Open where he lost in the opening round.
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Ilya Ivashka: Head-to-Head

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Ilya Ivashka: Prediction
Auger-Aliassime came into this tournament with already a title to his name this year. The Canadian youngster stunned Stefanos Tsisipas to win his maiden ATP title at the Rotterdam Open last week. After finally winning a title, the Canadian will be looking to extend his winning streak and will be keen to continue his momentum. Ilya Ivashka hasn’t been tested so far this tournament and won both his matches in straight sets. But the Belarusian needs to be on top of his game to stand a chance against the in-form Auger-Aliassime.
Prediction: Auger-Aliassime to win in straight sets
