Felix Auger Aliassime has been in the form of his life for the last 2 months. He won the ATP Cup with Canada in January and then made it to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open where he even had a match point against Daniil Medvedev. He then won his maiden career title in Rotterdam last week where he defeated the likes of Andy Murray, Andrey Rublev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas. This week in Marseille, he is yet to drop a set and got the better of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Ilya Ivashka in the early rounds before beating Roman Safiullin in the semifinals in straight sets 7-6(4),7-6(5).

Second seed Andrey Rublev hasn’t had an ideal start to the season but has still managed to pull off some brilliant results. In Rotterdam last week, he won three good matches before losing to Felix in the semifinals. He had to dig deep in every match this week to reach the final. He defeated Richard Gasquet and Lucas Pouille in the initial rounds and then got the better of Benjamin Bonzi in the semifinals in three sets 6-3,4-6,6-3.
