Aslan Karatsev

After turning pro in the year 2011, Aslan Karatsev currently has a 43-31 win-loss record. In 2021, Aslan performed the best as he won two titles, Moscow (Indoor/Hard) and Dubai (Outdoor/Hard). The Russian player had a great start in 2022, winning the Sydney tournament after defeating the British player Andy Murray in the finals ( 6-3, 6-3 ). In the Maharashtra Open, Karatsev is directly playing against Ymer in the Round of 16 as he is the top seed of the tournament and hence received a first-round bye.

The 25-year-old Swedish player Elias Ymer currently holds three local victories in his hand. Even though he doesn’t have any notable titles now, Ymer still goes ahead strong. In the 2021 Stockhold Open, along with fellow Swedish player Markus Eriksson, the duo climbed to the semi-finals, losing to Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Jean-Julien Rojer. In the Maharashtra Open, Ymer has overcome two rounds of Qualifiers to fight against the World No. 202 Gian Marco Moroni, defeating him in three sets to advance to the next round.
