15^th seed Elina Svitolina will kick off her 2022 Australian Open campaign against France’s Fiona Ferro. Svitolina had a mixed season last year, wherein she failed to go past the fourth round of any Grand Slam. The lone bright spot for her was the bronze medal she won at Tokyo Olympics back in August, thus becoming the first tennis player from Ukraine to win a medal at the Olympics.
