The first Grand Slam of the season in the form of the Australian Open 2022 is finally here. The tournament will kick off on 17th January, Monday in Melbourne Park which will be the 110th edition of the Grand Slam and the 54th in the Open Era.

Defending champion this year, Naomi Osaka will be back in Melbourne Park on Day-1 of the tournament as she begins her title defence and her hunt for her 5th major and 3rd Australian Open title. Naomi is 3-0 coming into the Slam having ended her run at the WTA event in Melbourne where she felt some discomfort before her semi-final clash and chose to not risk any injury.

Camila Osorio will be making her main-draw debut at the Australian Open when she will take the court against Naomi. She had earlier played in the qualifiers of the Slam but failed to reach the main-draw. She will begin her 2022 season directly at the Grand Slam and is 0-0 going into the match.
