The first major Grand Slam of the season is all set to be underway from 14th January. With two 250 events already played in Australia, the Australian Open will be the third tournament played this season.
This will be the 112th edition of the prestigious tournament and the 56th in the Open Era. The tournament will continue for two weeks till 28th January. It will have as usual 15 events.
Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka will be the defending champions in the men’s division and the women’s division, respectively. The Spanish veteran Rafael Nadal will be missing the season due to a muscle tear he had during the quarterfinals of the Brisbane International. Other players such as Nick Kyrgios and Karoline Muchova will also miss the proceedings.
The tournament is one of the most sought-after events in the world and people from all across the globe watch it. Thus, the organizers of the Australian Open have provided a long list of broadcasters so it can be telecasted across the globe.

Australian Open 2024 draws
With the Australian Open in a few days, the draws for both the men’s and the women’s divisions are out. With the absence of Rafael Nadal, Djokovic will enter the tournament as the top seed.
The 10-time champion has a superb record in the hard courts of Australia. He will face a yet-to-be-determined opponent from the qualifiers. As for the men’s division first round, the clash between Matteo Berrettini and Stefanos Tsitsipas will be the major highlight.
In the women’s division, Iga Swiatek will enter the tournament as the top seed. The World No.1 has produced superb performances this year starting with the United Cup in which she won the MVP. However, her clash with the defending champion will be one to watch if it does happen. The Polish player will start her campaign against Sofia Kenin.
