“Can’t wait for your return,” Fans get excited as former World No.1 Roger Federer uploads a video of his training regime

Tennis fans from all over the globe are waiting for Roger Federer‘s comeback to the court this year. Recently Federer posted a new video on his Instagram reel on Wednesday. In the video, the 20-time Grand Slam winner was seen doing a range of exercises as he fights his way to get back to proper fitness. The Swiss was seen doing multiple training regimes to strengthen the mobility in his legs.
Federer has been in rehabilitation since last August after his third knee surgery and is gradually getting better and faster to return to the court. His videos assure millions of fans that the 40-year-old is on course to fitness and will hopefully return to the court soon. The injury on his right knee has bothered him for a long time and it was recently he decided to get it operated and since then it has been a long way to recovery for the Swiss legend.
The Instagram video shows how Federer is performing a number of training drills to increase his mobility and reflexes which is a crucial part for him to return to his best form. He was seamlessly moving in that video suggesting that he feels no pain on his knee which has to be a major positive sign for Federer and his fans.

Some people poured their heart out for their favourite tennis star while others wrote about waiting for Federer’s comeback. The comments section on his Instagram were flooded with love and a lot of comeback mentions suggest how Federer remains to rule their minds even after not being on tour for so long.
When asked about his return, Federer mentioned that he will be more or less ready to feature again on tour at the end of the current season. Recently in an interview a month ago, the former Wolrd No.1 shared how he is getting better and better everyday. While he waits to come back on tour, he has to work very hard and gradually increase the intensity of his training sessions. We can probably expect a return around the Wimbledon or ahead of the US Open.
“I still have to wait a little bit with running,” Federer said. “I hope I can increase that more and more over the next few months and hopefully make a comeback in the middle or end of 2022.”
