Carlos Alcaraz is certainly making headlines by winning the Miami Open 2022. Not only that, he is the youngest player to have won an ATP title. This Spaniard, an 18-year-old still has a long way to go, but his skills and potential are showing through enough to have tennis coaches, commentators, and players praise this tennis star.

The latest in line is David Law, a British sports spectator who mainly commentates on tennis for BBC radio and BT Sport. The commentator has said that Carlos Alcaraz is the next big thing after Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer.

Carlos Alcaraz has truly shown some impressive performance in the tournament and his journey has not been easy. He went to the quarterfinals and beat Mioimir kecmanovic. He then went on to the semi-finals to beat Hubert Hurkacz, who he beat in straight sets but it was won in a tie-breaker point. He then went on to the finals to face Norweigian player Casper Ruud, who he beat in straight sets.

David Law tweeted, “the answer to the question ‘what happens when Federer and Nadal retire?’ Carlos Alcaraz”

He further said, “To the Djokovic fans inevitably taking offense at this tweet, he isn’t a new arrival, and he ain’t retiring any time soon.”

This is not the first person who has high expectations of Alcaraz. Toni Nadal, Rafael Nadal’s uncle and ex-coach sees a lot of potential in him and former world no. 5 Daniel Hantuchova also thinks he’ll be the one to win the French Open. Fans and audience think his playing style resembles Nadal, while some think it resembles Djokovic, while Alaraz feels his style most resembles Federer.

With all the big three’s playing style being compared to his, it is no surprise that commentators like David Law are the new admirer of Alcaraz. The youngster has still got a long journey and a long way to prove himself, but his hard work is finally paying off and he is getting recognized for his efforts.
