Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are often the most loved players not only in tennis but globally. The two champions have had played as professionals for more than 2 decades now and during his time, they have won almost every possible trophy and broken nearly all of the records while scripting new ones for the next generation of players to try and match it.
As popular as they are as individuals, the pair is also quite popular, first as bitter rivals during the 2000s and over the past few years, as buddies. The friendship of the two legends was highlighted more at the Laver Cup which was started by Roger Federer’s company TEAM8, former Davis Cup player and now an entrepreneur Jorge Paulo Lemann and Tennis Australia.
While the tournament attracts a large crowd for bringing fiercest rivals to play on the same team, after the initial success of the Laver Cup in 2017 and 2018, the tournament officially became a part of the ATP calendar in 2019 and since then has been an integral part of it. With the 2022 Laver Cup set to be played in London, the tickets went live recently which garnered negative reactions from the fans.

With the 2022 edition to be held in the O2 Arena in London, the ticket prices level 1G is going for more than $1,000, while the most expensive are going for $5,500, a price that matches the ticket cost of Grand Slam events. While the Tour events are cheaper as compared to the Slams, fans were unhappy and took to trolling Federer as he is one of the founding members of the tournament which was aimed to attract more crowd for bringing the top-ranked players on the same team.
