Laslo Djere has started off extremely well at the Swiss Open. He went past Thiago Seyboth Wild in the first-round clash without any difficulty. Laslo won a whopping 85% of the first serve points against him which proved to be the difference in the game.
However, he had to battle hard in the second round against Zizou Bergs. Zizou stretched Laslo to three sets but was unable to corner him in the deciding set despite delivering an impressive performance in the second set. Djere came into the Swiss Open after a moderately successful German Open.
He was able to make his way into the semis at the German Open but his dream run was ended by Filip Krajinović in straight sets. On the other hand, Arthur Rinderknech has been in sensational form thus far at the Swiss Open. He scripted an upset in his last encounter.
The unseeded player thrashed second-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets to make his way into the quarter-finals. Before that, he defeated Dominic Stephan Stricker in a similar fashion in his first-round.
