World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is a force to reckon with in the world of tennis. The superstar from Serbia has been truly unstoppable this season. After winning the Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon, Djokovic is eyeing the 4th and final Grand Slam of the season.

Although Djokovic has cornered almost everyone who has faced him in the major tournaments this year, he suffered an astonishing defeat in the Tokyo Olympics this year in the semis. Alexander Zverev thrashed Djokovic without much hassle and on top of that, the World No. 1 player was defeated in the bronze medal match as well by Pablo Carreño Busta which might have put a slight dent in his confidence.

In a practice session, Djokovic took on Denis Shapovalov and after the game ended, Novak told ESPN that the courts are much quicker this year at New York as compared to last year. “We had a tie break because we both served well. We both think that the courts are quite lively, even faster than last year, so if you have a good service,” Djokovic said.

Djokovic also talked about his form this season. He claimed that he has had his best-ever Grand Slam season, however, it has also taken a lot out of him. “I had a fantastic summer, it cost me a lot, but I can’t complain, I had probably the best Grand Slam season of my career so I hope I can continue on my launch,” he said.

Novak would be looking to create history by winning his 21st Grand Slam title at the US Open. Currently, he is tied on 20 Grand Slam titles along with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
