Emma Raducanu has made a name for herself in the world of tennis in a relatively short period. The youngster from Britain took the world by surprise when she ended up winning the US Open in an emphatic style. As a result, she became the face of many globally renowned brands in no time.
Raducanu had a dream season in 2021 as she ended the year with a place in the Top 20 WTA Rankings. She entered the US Open as a World No. 150 and after battling through the qualifiers, she won the championship without dropping a single set. Needless to say, the world was expecting to see her on the list of most searched athletes.
Emma Raducanu named the fourth most searched athlete on Google
Right from the veterans to the teenage sensations, the list of most searched athletes around the world has got it all. Search Engine Google revealed this list and it was particularly pleasing for the tennis fans to see the 19-year-old sensation from Britain.
Raducanu’s mixed heritage also played a huge role in making her a fan favorite. Born to a Romanian father and a Chinese mother, Raducanu plies her trade for Britain and is a polyglot which also works in her advantage. The Brit has been named as the fourth most searched athlete.
Raducanu’s return to the court after the magnificent US Open title win wasn’t the best by any stretch. The star player was knocked from the intital phase of tournaments which might have affected her confidence a little bit. However, overall, she can be extremely proud with what she has achieved and we can expect her to only get better with time.
