Paula Badosa, Novak Djokovic
Several tennis stars have come out and spoken their minds out on the Novak Djokovic visa situation. After being denied entry in Australia and being detained by the Border Forces, the Serbian is atleast set free for the moment.
Spanish tennis player and one of WTA’s most improved players in 2021, Paula Badosa has refused to comment on the Novak Djokovic situation. She stated that she prefers to keep her opinion by herself, as whatever is said is deemed to become the headline.
Nevertheless, Paula Badosa realized that it was a sensitive situation, and she understood the case for both parties. She had herself tested positive for covid-19 last year after her arrival in Australia. Hence, the Spaniard stated that it was quite a stressful situation to be in.

Paula Badosa’s magnificent 2021 season started off on a poor note, as she had tested positive for covid-19 just prior to the Australian Open. Hence, she had to spend quite some time under strict isolation.
“I understand both parties. I have been vaccinated. I was locked up in quarantine in this country and it was very hard. Mine was different because I was positive. I prefer to keep my opinion to myself,” said Badosa.
Paula Badosa defeated Ajla Tomljanovic in straight sets in the second round of the Sydney International. In the first round, she defeated the Latvian, Jelena Ostapenko in the first round encounter. The Spaniard reflected on her second round win on Wednesday, and stated how she dominated her opponent, physically.
“I knew how she played and I wanted to show her that I was up to the task of fighting until the end. I have imposed myself because of that extra strength that I have over her,” she added.
