British teen star Emma Raducanu’s return to competitive tennis was awaited by her fans who wanted to see her extend her winning run. The whole world was looking forward to seeing how she will perform at the Indian Wells after she thrashed everyone who came in her way at the US Open.

Emma received a wildcard for the ongoing Indian Wells 2021 and her US Open win helped her get it and enter the main-draw directly. She was up against Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the 2nd round of the WTA-1000 event after having received a bye in the first round. However, what transpired in the match shocked tennis fans across the world.

Raducanu looked completely out of sorts in the encounter and failed to deliver in the crunch moments. After dropping the first set without causing much trouble, the Brit tried scripting a comeback in the second set but all her efforts went in vain as she ended up losing the game by 2-6, 4-6.

Tennis fans were totally shocked to see Raducanu struggle on the court after a fantastic run at the US Open. While some came out in her support and claimed that she has a long way to way, some claimed that the loss is a reality check for the media which overhyped her US Open win.

Nevertheless, Emma now has enough time to regroup and prepare for the upcoming Kremlin Cup 2021 which will be held in Moscow, Russia. It will be the second WTA-500 tournament she will play this season and will look to bounce back with all her might.
