‘Forgive yourself’ Rafael Nadal on Dealing with Failures

Spanish tennis legend, Rafael Nadal has become the favorite of news and social media journalists from the time he wore the crown of the Australian Open 2022 and claimed his 21st Grand Slam singles title ahead of his other two partners of the Big 3 legendary trio, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. He won the title by defeating World No.2 Daniil Medvedev in a tough fight of a five set long match.

Since then, Rafa has only made appearance in the headlines and press conferences. He did not play any match after the Aussie Open. But according to latest updates, the fans will again get to see some Rafa moves at the Acapulco, an ATP 500 tournament which will start next week. Rafa is the three times champion of Acapulco and he won the last title in 2020. Fans are eager to see their favorite tennis superstar back in action and conquer the tennis world again.

Recently Rafael was spotted in an event organised by one of his sponsors. He shared some of his life lessons in the event. He explained why is it necessary to forgive oneself if you fail and also forgiving is the key to avoid negative thoughts and deal with frustration.

“It is important to control frustration and accept it. Forgive yourself. I try not to let that frustration cloud me and prevent me from analysing what is happening in order to find a solution. The pure essence is to give your best, whatever the scenario. It is important to have references. They do not have to be outstanding people. My father advised me to look around me and follow who I liked. I observe and see what I like about each person.” The champion said.
