Former World No.1 Jamie Murray criticizes the French Tennis Federation

The French Tennis Federation(FFT) had cut the Prize Money across events with the doubles getting hit with a twenty-three percent cut. This decision taken by the FFT has not gone down well with Jamie Murray who said that the decision was taken without any consideration or consulting but rather was a high handed approach.
Murray wrote on twitter, “On top of twice moving their event dates to suit themselves, the @FFTennis continues their ‘we don’t give a ****’ mentality by cutting the doubles prize fund by 23 per cent ,” He continued, “Thanks for actively supporting all players across the tour. Your official hotel for doubles players is an absolute toilet. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to bring one team member to support us during the event.”
Murray was also upset with the hotels being provided to the doubles players which he compared to a toilet. Murray also said a sarcastic thank you for allowing the doubles players to have one support staff member with them. He was annoyed that the singles players still could have two players with them.
Murray also mentioned that the French Open organizers can change dates and postpone events at their own convenience but fail to look after its players. Currently Murray is in Paris to participate in the French Open. His partner for the event is Brazilian Bruno Soares.
