‘Gift to the heart!’ Serena Williams puts up ADORABLE post making her love for sister Venus Williams known

Serena and Venus Williams

Serena and Venus Williams dominated women’s tennis for almost two decades. The Williams sisters have paved the way for many young girls to join the sport and have been true role models. They share a whopping 30 singles grand slams between them and are probably one of the most decorated sisters duos in all of sports.

Serena Williams has not been on professional tennis grounds since the US Open 2021 which turned out to be a disaster for the player as she got her leg injured in one of the early matches led her to drop out of the tournament. She spent the rest of the season off the court and has still not returned.

Speaking to news outlet Bazaar, Serena Williams feels that instead of this being a movie about tennis, it’s a movie about family, talking about the movie in progress on the lives of the sisters and featuring Will Smith.

The duo have dominated tennis since decades, both having a combined 30 Grand Slam titles between them over the years. Their influence exerts beyond the court too, with the duo still one of the most respected pairs in the world of tennis despite their recent injury problems.

Taking to Instagram, Serena today posted a photo of the two in the covers of the magazine Bazaar as a token of appreciation for her elder sister. In the caption, she describes her sister as a gift to the heart and a friend.

“A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life”– said Serena in the caption.

Serena and Venus Williams have not always had such a good and close relationship over the years. The sisters were also major rivals for a number of years, which affected their relationship in between. The pair have met each other 31 times on court, with Serena having a 19-12 head to head advantage against her sister. However, the duo have since patched up and enjoyed a really close relationship since.
