The WTA 250 Guadalajara is a women’s tennis tournament which is also known as the Abierto Akron Zapopan. It takes place on outdoor hard courts, during the month of February or March at the Panamerican Tennis Center in the city of Guadalajara in Mexico. This year the tournament will be held from 21st February 2022 to 27th February 2022.

Although Emma does not seem to be in good form from the start of the season, she ended her previous season on a good note and earned her first Grand Slam title at the US Open 2021. She will be the top seed at Guadalajara and with a less competitive field, she could very well win her maiden WTA 250 title next week.

After Guadalajara, Emma is expected to travel North and play two important WTA 1000 events- Indian Wells and Miami.
