‘Guess who came to dinner’ Eugenie Bouchard and friends bump into David Beckham at a luxury Sushi Restaurant
Eugenie Bouchard and David Beckham
Eugenie Bouchard is a Canadian player who is known for her aggressive form of playing and her competitive spirit and had a career-high ranking as World no. 5. On April 8th she met football legend David Beckham in a luxury Sushi Restaurant.
The Canadian star was having a good time with her buddies at Watr at the Rooftop, a posh restaurant inside the 1 Hotel South Beach. However, it appears that the tennis star also bumped across Inter Miami owner David Beckham, who, despite his team’s MLS difficulties, mustered a grin. The reason is that Inter has yet to win a game. They’ve lost four of their five Eastern Conference games under Phil Neville‘s leadership.
“Guess who came to dinner,” she captioned a photo of herself with David Beckham on Twitter. The Japanese steak, which costs £65, and the salmon nikkei, which costs £32, aren’t inexpensive to dine at the rooftop restaurant.
Bouchard is supposedly unmarried and living in Miami. Mason Rudolph, the Canadian’s NFL lover, is claimed to have broken up with her. The Canadian and former World no. 5 is yet to play in this year’s tournament and did not participate in the 2022 Miami Open.
What’s next for Eugenie Bouchard?
The Canadian and former world no. 5 will play her first game in over a year at Innisbrook Resort in Florida next month for the U.S. Pro Women’s Clay Court Championship.
Eugenie Bouchard has been given a wild card into the main draw of the ITF $100K tournament, which starts on April 11 and is being held for the first time at the Innisbrook Resort since 2019. The tournament is also a part of the USTA French Open wild card challenge, which will provide one American player a wild card entry into the main draw at Roland-Garros on both the men’s and women’s sides. According to the event website, the provisional player roster includes reigning French Open winner Barbora Krejcikova, as well as Americans Coco Gauff and Shelby Rogers.
Bouchard’s world rating has plummeted to 1,454 as a result of his inactivity. After reaching the Wimbledon final in 2014, the Canadian rose to No. 5 in the global rankings, becoming the first Canadian player, male or female, to reach a Grand Slam singles final. She also advanced to the semi-finals of the Australian Open and the French Open in the same year.
Bouchard last competed in a competition in March 2021 in Monterrey, Mexico. While training with Rennae Stubbs and Gil Reyes, Andre Agassi‘s former trainer, the 28-year-old went from outside the top 300 to inside the top 120 in March 2021. Her season was cut short due to a shoulder injury, and she had surgery in June 2021. She will have to win this tournament in order to get a wild card entry into the French Open and further progress in order to get back to her old glory.
