Hubert Hurkacz has started brilliantly at the Tokyo Olympics. He defeated Luke Saville in his first-round encounter without much trouble. Saville looked helpless right from the beginning and lost the game in straight sets. Moreover, Hurkacz’s brilliant performance at Wimbledon would have given him a lot of confidence.
Hurkacz didn’t deliver as per expectations at French Open, Stuttgart Open, as well as in Halle Open. He was knocked out in the first rounds of all three tournaments. However, he made a fantastic comeback at the grass-court Grand Slam and defeated the likes of Daniil Medvedev and Roger Federer before losing in the semis.
