“I can’t taste the difference”- Emma Raducanu REVEALS her favourite alcoholic drink in hilarious interview

Emma Raducanu had a poor start to the new season as she was defeated in the second round of the 2022 Australian Open. Emma’s start to the 2022 season had not been good. Having just recovered from Covid-19, the player lost in her season opener in Sydney and could not make many inroads at the Melbourne Park as she finds herself 1-2 so far this season.

Raducanu skipped the first two tournaments of February as she is getting further accustomed to her new coach Torben Beltz who joined her towards the end of the last season and the pair have not got enough opportunities to try out strategies.

After skipping two tournaments after the Australian Open, Emma Raducanu finally aims to be back on the court at the Abierto de Guadalajara in Mexico. The Briton is fine-tuning her preparations as she looks forward to start the tournament campaign against Aussie Daria Saville.

During a quirky pre-tournament interview, the 19-year-old was asked an interesting question about her favourite drink while relaxing or having a good time. The journalist also took into consideration that she is a professional athlete and might not be allowed to partake in such activities and thus added that the athlete should not be pressured to answer the question.

Raducanu replied that she is a very boring person and doesn’t drink much, but also came up with a hilarious incident.  The youngster revealed that since she was in Mexico, her friends made her drink virgin Margherita for the first time the day before. She also revealed of not being sure if it was the real deal, since she had never had tequila before.

“Well, actually I don’t really drink. I’m kind of boring. But yesterday, girls gave me a version of margarita. So, I didn’t know if it was real or not because I’ve never had tequila before. So I can’t really taste the difference (laughs).” answered Raducanu.
