She won the match 6-1,6-0. Following that, she double-bageled Andreea Prisacariu 6-0 6-0 to seal victory for Poland over Romania. She has extended the exceptional streak of winning 19 matches in a row. Swiatek is the first player from Poland and the 2000s to reach number 1 in either ATP and WTP ranking history.

Swiatek was playing Poland’s first match against Romania in the Billie Jean King Cup. The match was very one-sided. Swiatek hit 19 winners out of which 11 were forehand. And not facing a breakpoint in seven service games against Mihaela who was the former top 20 player.

In the interview, Swiatek admitted she liked playing against left-handed players. She practices with Maja Chwalinska who is her teammate and is a left-handed player. She got used to it and playing left-handed players wasn’t a challenge for her as she played against Kerber and Kvitova in the last couple of weeks and won against them. ’

I am much more confident right now,” Swiatek admitted. “I feel like I have grown up for sure. I’ve developed every aspect of my game. The streak that I have on the WTA Tour has given me so much confidence that right now I can just put pressure on my opponents and that’s really a privilege. “I’ll be working on my new position as well and I hope to stay there for a while.

She also recorded dominating wins against Naomi Osaka and Simona Halep earlier this year, speaking volumes of her dominance.
