Indian Wells 2021: Know all about the Prize Money for Singles and Doubles

After missing out last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Indian Wells Masters is back on tour this season. The tournament, which is held annually in March before the Clay court swing, was postponed this year due to the pandemic and will commence from October 7.
Like any other tournament played post the resumption of tour in 2020, the prize money for this edition is significantly reduced. Since 2012, the prestigious tournament offers the same prize money for both men and women which means that both tours will compete for a prize money of $8,359,455.
The champion will leave the desert with a cheque of $1,209,730, which is 10.66% less from last year while the runner up will get $640,000 in prize money, 6.71% less than the previous edition. It is to be noted that the prize money for each round till the quarterfinals is increased significantly.

Indian Wells Masters Doubles Prize Money

The doubles prize money distribution at the Indian Wells Masters also has some changes. The champions will receive a cheque of $414,500, 9.4% less than the previous edition. Only the finalists will receive less prize money than 2019. All the other rounds see a 4.8% rise in the prize money.
