Pau Gasol took to Twitter to voice his opinion on Alcaraz’s defeat. Pau is 6-times former NBA Allstar. He said: “It hurts to lose, but defeats like this help you grow. It’s time to learn. You will.”

Losses are the part and parcel of life and they help us work harder and get better. For Alcaraz, it’s just the beginning of his career and he will win many close combats and there will be some gut-wrenching defeats too. But still, the players need to focus on the positives. Alcaraz too is disappointed with his loss, but he knows that it’s not the end of the world. Any loss for that matter won’t be the end. It would just help him reflect on his game a little more and he will be a better player after that.

Alcaraz has taken the positives from the match. He said: “It was a difficult match, but I feel mentally ready to play these types of matches, long and tight. I am ready to return to training and focus on the next tournaments.”
