She plays fearless: Sakkari on Emma Raducanu
Maria Sakkari heaped praise on Emma Raducanu and stated that the Briton plays fearless tennis, and has nothing to lose. The teenager has won nine consecutive matches to make it to the finals of US Open, starting from the qualifying rounds.
“She plays fearless. She goes for it. She does the right thing. She has nothing to lose. She’s enjoying herself,” the Greek added.
However, Maria Sakkari added that all opponents of Emma Raducanu, including herself have not brought their best game. Belinda Bencic, Tokyo Olympic gold-medalist was also defeated by the Briton in straight sets.
