Marion Bartoli is a French former professional tennis player. During her career, she won eight singles titles out of which one was the Grand Slam title she won at the 2013 Wimbledon. Her highest ranking in singles according to the Women’s Tennis Association was World No.7. Bartoli was known for her unorthodox style of play using two hands on both her forehand and backhand. She was an aggressive baseline player.
Recently in an interview, when asked about current World No.1, the former tennis star said that Novak Djokovic’s only obsessed to win his 21st Grand Slam title.

This year Djokovic had an excellent season, he won three Grand Slams which brought him equal to rivals Rafa and Roger. However, now he aims to surpass both these players by winning a few Grand Slams next season.
“I think ultimately, what Novak wants is to beat the 20 Grand Slams record. I think it’s the only obsession he is having and when he walked away from that defeat against Sascha, I didn’t see him in a lot of anger, you know he was not massively broken down. The most important for him now was to beat Pete Sampras’ record or finishing the year as World No.1 and now it’s just to get to 21 and 22 or more so that he makes sure that Federer and Nadal don’t catch him back,” she said.
“I think that’s going to be the only obsession he’s going to have next year,” Bartoli added.
