The second leg of the Sunshine Double is round the corner in the form of the ATP-1000 Miami Open, with the main rounds beginning from 25th March. The Miami Open (also known as the Miami Masters, and currently branded as the Miami Open presented by Itaú for sponsorship reasons) is a tennis tournament held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. It is part of the men’s ATP Tour Masters 1000 circuit, and part of the women’s WTA 1000 circuit.

With the first leg of the Sunshine Double in the form of the Indian Wells Masters being an absolute blockbuster, with many stories and ultimately an upset in the final with Taylor Fritz clinching the title, the Miami Open too promises to be a rollercoaster ride. Hubert Hurkacz and Ashleigh Barty are currently the defending champions for the men’s and women’s draws at the tournament.

The tournament will feature some of the biggest names in tennis including US Open champion Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, Matteo Berrettini, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andy Murray and Nick Kyrgios on the Men’s side. On the women’s side, the playing field will lead led by Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek. Some other notable names are Paula Badosa, Maria Sakkari, Anett Kontaveit, Simona Halep, Emma Raducanu and Naomi Osaka.
