Monte-Carlo Masters 2022 Day 7: Order of Play for Saturday, 16th April 2022

Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas

The 2022 Monte Carlo Masters has now entered the business end with semifinal matches lined up for both Singles and Doubles events. Despite Novak Djokovic’s early exit, the quality of tennis in the Principality has been amazing and players have definitely punched above their weight.

The upper half of the draw has produced some unexpected winners with Djokovic slayer Alejandro Davidovich Fokina making it o the semifinals while Grigor Dimitrov also has made it to the last 4 courtesy of a dream run at Monte Carlo this week. Meanwhile, in the bottom half, two of the best players on the tour, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev will battle in the second semifinal.

Both Tsitsipas and Zverev are coming off two incredibly tough quarterfinal matches and hence would fancy their chances to reach the final. The top seed Men’s Doubles pairing of Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury will take on Rohan Bopanna and Jamie Murray in the first semifinal. They will open the proceedings on center court followed by the Singles semifinals, Fokina-Dimitrov and Tsitsipas-Zverev. The second Doubles semifinal between Marcelo Arevalo/Jean-Julien Rojer and Juan Sebastian Cabal/Robert Farah will mark the close of play on Saturday.
