Prior to the US Open, Emma Raducanu was ranked 150th in the WTA Rankings, post her fourth round appearance at Wimbledon 2021. Now, she is all poised to take over as the British number one, when the updated rankings will be announced on Monday.

Emma Raducanu is assured of being ranked 32nd in the WTA Rankings, even if she loses the final. However, if she manages to win the finals, then she will be ranked 24th in the world, which is a huge jump of 126 spots. Unbelievable, Isn’t it?

Meanwhile, Leylah Fernandez stands a chance to become Canada’s top ranked player if she is able to win the finals of US Open 2021. Currently ranked 73rd in the world, Fernandez is assured of breaking into the top 30, as she will be ranked 27th in the world, even if she loses the final. However, if she does win the final, she will breach the top 20 barrier, by being ranked on the 19th spot.
