Carlos Alcaraz reached the finals of the Hamburg Open defeating Alex Molcan in a thriller and intriguing one hour and 33 minutes match in 7-6(2),6-1. This will be his fifth final appearance of the year. He has already won four titles – Rio Open, Miami Open, Barcelona Open, and Madrid Open. He will be looking strong and confident to win his fifth title at the ATP events. He will be facing Lorenzo Musetti in the finals on Sunday, 24th July 2022.
If he wins the title, he will become the only player to have achieved the feat of winning five ATP events in a year. The Spaniard has won 24 of his last 26 matches on clay and 37 of his last 41 overall matches. He took the world by a storm with an unbelievable feat when he defeated the top-seed players like Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals, Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals, and Alexander Zverev in the finals of the Madrid Open.

Alcaraz made his debut into the Top 20 rankings with his win at the Rio Open. He moved into the Top-10 rankings after winning the ATP event at Barcelona. Upon reaching the finals, the Spaniard achieved ticked another goal to make his debut in the Top 5 of the ATP rankings. He will be the youngest player to make his way into the Top-5 after Rafael Nadal in 2005. If he manages to win the Hamburg Open, he will make his way to the Top-4 of the ATP rankings going past Stefanos Tsitispas. Twitter fans congratulate the young 19-year-old Spaniard boy on his spectacular feat.
