Carlos Alcaraz, in a remarkable feat, secured his second Grand Slam victory of his career, marking his first major title this year. However, his journey to success faced a stumbling block at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, he had to withdraw from the Australian Open due to a hamstring injury in his right leg. As a result, Alcaraz relinquished his number 1 ranking, which was claimed by Djokovic, the victor of that championship.

Upon his comeback, he won the Argentina Open by defeating Cameron Norrie. He became the first teenager to win the event. In the Indian Wells Masters, he reached the final and defeated Russian player Daniil Medvedev to earn his eighth career title and third Masters 1000. He became the first person to win the tournament without dropping a single set. The last one to achieve this was Roger Federer in 2017.

Another injury forced him to withdraw from the Monte-Carlo Masters. On the clay court, he won the Barcelona Open and Madrid Open to achieve his 9th and 10th career titles, respectively. In the French Open, he lost to Djokovic in the semi-finals as he experienced cramps from the 3rd set onwards. On the grass courts, he won the Queen’s Club Championship, defeating Alex de Minaur and snatching the world number 1 title from Djokovic.
