The 31st edition of the Open 13 Provence, is scheduled to be played on indoor hard courts. As part of the 2023 ATP Tour, it will be held from February 20 to 26, 2023, at the Palais des Sports de Marseille in Marseille, France. The Open 13 Provence holds a significant place in the French tennis calendar as it is one of the five French tournaments on the ATP Tour calendar.
However, one of the highlights of the tournament has been the success of French players, with six of them having lifted the Marseille trophy. Some of them are Gilles Simon, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Michael Llodra, etc whose success added to the tournament’s appeal and helped to cement its status as a prestigious event on the ATP Tour.
Players like Hubert Hurkacz, Jannik Sinner, Alex de Minaur, etc are taking part in this historic tournament. Fans are excited to see their favorite players take part in this tournament. However, a few of the former defending champions are not participating in the tournament which is a setback to the organizers. Andrey Rublev, Daniil Medvedev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas have won this title in the recent past.

In 2000, Roger Federer made his debut in an ATP singles final at this tournament, where he was defeated by Marc Rosset in the first-ever all-Swiss final of an ATP event. However, Federer later won the tournament in 2003, establishing himself as a rising star in the tennis world.
