The Day-6 of the 2024 Indian Wells Open is all set for an action-packed day. With 10 matches each in men’s and women’s singles, some of the top seeds headline the day. The entire day’s proceedings will see the third-round matches get completed for both draws.

As Day-5 confirmed a few of the fourth-round players, all the remaining players will be confirmed today. Many of the top seeds including five-time champ Novak Djokovic, last year’s finalists Daniil Medvedev and Aryna Sabalenka, and young stars Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu will be in action today.

With Day-5 confirming eight of the 16 players, the other spots are all up for grabs today. Both men’s and women’s singles draw will see eight matches each being played out. Apart from singles, doubles matches will also be contested as quarter-final spots will be confirmed today in doubles.

Home favorite Coco Gauff takes on Lucia Bronzetti

Third-seeded Coco Gauff will continue her campaign for her maiden title in the tennis paradise. She will take on the World No. 53 Lucia Bronzetti in their second career meeting on the Tour.

The duo previously met back in 2019 with the American securing a straight-set win. Gauff has been in exceptional form post the 2023 Wimbledon and will certainly come in as the favorite for the tie.

Californian Taylor Fritz expected to draw in big crowds

2022 champ and local Californian, Taylor Fritz, will look to take down the 19th-seeded Sebastian Baez yet again. Currently leading their head-to-head 3-0, the American will be a heavy favorite going into the match.

The Argentine won his campaign opener against Fabio Fognini in straight-sets. But going against Fritz on his home turf will surely be a challenge. This will be the second meeting at the Indian Wells Masters for the two.

An epic clash awaited between Aryna Sabalenka and Emma Raducanu

World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka will headline the day surely for her big clash against wildcard Emma Raducanu. The Briton has not been consistent for a while now but that only makes her unpredictable given the huge potential she has.

Five-time champ Novak Djokovic made a winning return to the tennis paradise. The Serb is playing at the event for the first time since 2019. As he comes looking for a record-breaking sixth title, he will now take on lucky loser Luca Nardi.

The World No. 123 will be going up against the 24-time singles Grand Slam title winner for the very first time. With light years of difference between the two, both in age and career record, Nole should not break a sweat to move into the fourth round.

Clash of Indian Wells champs to see Naomi Osaka take on Elise Mertens

Elise Mertens has been a two-time doubles champ at the Indian Wells. As for the former World No. 1 Naomi Osaka, she shot to fame by winning the 2018 title. While Mertens has been highly consistent in doubles, she will look to bank on Osaka’s rustiness to make the fourth round.

Daniil Medvedev to lock horns with Sebastian Korda in a thrilling encounter

In what will be the final clash for the day on Court 2, last year’s runner-up Daniil Medvedev will take on American Sebastian Korda. The two will be meeting for the fourth time in a professional setup with Korda currently leading 2-1.

Medvedev is a seasoned hard court specialist and will look to bring his best. As for Korda, he will take confidence from his positive H2H against the former World No. 1 and try to maintain that record.
