However, two early exits followed Sabalenka as the Belarusian lost to Donna Vekic in Doha and Emma Navarro at the 2024 Indian Wells. Now, she will be taking part in the Miami Open intending to lift her maiden title. But it won’t be easy for Sabalenka considering she has suffered a huge personal loss recently.

On the other hand, Paula Badosa did not have a great start to the season as the Spaniard bowed out of the year’s first Grand Slam tournament after losing to Amanda Anisimova. Badosa had early exits from the next two tournaments as well. She then missed out on Indian Wells over injury concerns. Nevertheless, the Spanish ace has started her campaign in Miami on a high and will be hoping to make it bigger.
