World No. 14 Tommy Paul has made a brilliant start to the season. In just four tournament appearances so far, he has reached two Tour finals, winning the one in Dallas. The 26-year-old started his season in Adelaide but lost in the quarterfinals to Jack Draper. 

He then played at the 2024 Australian Open and went down in five sets to Miomir Kecmanovic in the third round. Following his first week’s exit from Melbourne Park, he made the best use of the free time on his hands.

The result of it was visible on home soil as he won the Dallas Open. He defeated compatriot Ben Shelton in the semis to pick up his third consecutive straight-set win. He played another American, this time Marcos Giron, in the finals.

His streak of straight-set matches was, however, shot down by Giron, who won the second set to force a third. Paul, however, won it comfortably to win his second career title. He carried his good form to Delray Beach as well. After dropping a set in the first round, he raced to the finals in straight sets. 

He defeated fellow American Frances Tiafoe before taking on American No. 1 Taylor Fritz in the finals. Fritz was also the defending champ and won the title in straight sets, ending Paul’s seven-match winning streak. It was Fritz’s eighth title in his career. 

Amid all this, Paul’s girlfriend, Paige Lorenze, also achieved a big feat. The vlogger hit 200K subscribers on YouTube. She has long been posting vlogs of her travels and other activities, and as a result, she achieved a big milestone. 

Similar to Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan Riddle, Lorenze often brings behind-the-scenes action from the Tour, much to the delight of fans.

Tommy Paul to feature next in Acapulco

Lorenze, who’s also an entrepreneur with her brand, Dairy Boy, took to her Instagram stories to thank her fans for their support. She called her YouTube channel a ‘labor of love’ and thanked everyone for helping her achieve the milestone.

Paul and Lorenze have been quite discreet about their relationship. They are believed to have started dating in 2022, as she was often spotted traveling and cheering for him at tournaments. The two post their pictures together at times but don’t spam them. 

After a busy first half of February, Paul opted not to feature in any events in the third week of the month. He will now play at the ATP-500 event in Mexico, the Acapulco Open. The American was the runner-up at last year’s event, losing to Alex de Minaur in the finals. He had defeated Fritz in the semis.
