Agnieszka Radwanska, the 33-year-old Polish player will be playing 21-year-old Iga Swiatek in the charity match for Ukraine on the 23rd of July, the two Polish stars will lock horns in a one-set exhibition match to show support for Ukraine due to its invasion by Russia that continues to wreak havoc on the European country.

Swiatek has been very vocal from the start about the war between Russia and Ukraine and has been showing active support for Ukraine, the match will be umpired by Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina who is currently pregnant, and all the earnings from the match will be donated to support the children and teenagers that are affected by the war and Svitolina’s charity foundations are also involved in getting the earnings for the game to where they belong.

Many Ukrainians have fled from their country to Poland to seek refuge from the war and Swiatek has never been shy of showing them support and trying to help them in getting back on their feet to the best of her abilities, the earning from the match will provide a much-needed boost to the people affected by this war, the initiative has been lauded by fans and players alike on various social media platforms.

Both the Polish stars were seen practicing together ahead of their match in three days, Radwanska took to Instagram to post a picture of both of them practicing together expressing her excitement for the match, with the announcement of the match back in June, Swiatek wrote on social media saying, “For months, I have been working with my team on a charity initiative for Ukraine to support those who suffer because of the war, I hope we can see each other in large numbers … to show the strength of sport when it unites us in helping and gives us at least a little joy.
