World No. 19 Alexander Zverev has been under the radar for quite some time now after his ex-girlfriend Brenda Patea accused him of domestic violence. The mother of his daughter has filed a petition against him stating that Zverev had laid hands on her, with accusations related to “bodily harm”. A lot of things have gone wrong for the German this year, having not been able to make it to the later stages at most of the tournaments he has played in.
He was finally proven “not guilty” of the accusations placed by ex-girlfriend Oyla Sharypova after 27 months of intense investigation. Accused again of the same reason, he has suffered a huge setback in terms of his reputation and also the brand value. There are reports that Adidas is looking to cut off their new deal with the German, with hints being laid out by journalist, Craig Shapiro on Twitter.
Shapiro retweeted a post on Twitter with the caption, “For all the Ben/Racquet/Slate disparagers, this is the 2nd woman making accusations of being roughed up, this case vetted and approved by the Berlin judiciary. So you can all prepare and send your apologies.” The original post was posted by the media outlet The Tennis Letter which states the estimated amount of fines Alexander Zverev might have to pay Patea if proven guilty.
How has Alexander Zverev coped with the situation?

Zverev has had a bad end to his Wimbledon journey getting knocked out by Matteo Berrettini in the third round by straight sets. Right after that, he received a huge setback by facing serious allegations against him.
He has kept himself calm and composed at the moment, not yet speaking a single word about the sensitive matter in any of the conferences.
He also kept himself focused towards winning the Swedish Open with the hunt finally ending in the quarter-finals in the match against Andrey Rublev. He beat the likes of Molcan and Monteiro on the way to this stage carrying himself quite efficacity despite the various boos and hate he has been receiving inside the stadium and also throughout the social media.
