What I really learned from my long absence, I think, is to really enjoy tennis. You really enjoy the hard days, the fun days. You just enjoy being on the court when it’s taken away from you.

Most players realize it once they stop playing tennis because they did not experience this period, this injury. I realized that earlier, so I'm grateful for that, but I want to get back to where I was.

Alexander Zverev has since won two ATP titles and has reached the semi-finals of multiple other tournaments. He has managed to secure his spot in the final 8 of the Nitto ATP Finals and will look to do well there.

Alexander Zverev is honored to be the only other player to win the ATP Finals

Alexander Zverev said:

Other tournaments, if I would have lost to Novak or Daniil, I would have been out, but there I came back and became a two-time champion, It’s a prestige event, an honour itself just to be there, and I never take it for granted.

After a good comeback season, the German will make sure to try and end the season on a high. However, standing in his way are the likes of other champion players like Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Novak Djokovic, and more.

The tournament will begin in a group-wise format where players play their group mates to try and qualify for the semis and get a shot at the title.
