Zverev’s bittersweet comment reveals his character and maturity. Losing to a youngster would demoralize anyone. However, Zverev’s move to urge Alcaraz reveals the amount of respect he holds for the Spaniard. Alcaraz was seeded as number 1 in the US Open and heads on to face Daniil Medvedev who is unmoved by the youngster’s resilience.
