Alexander Zverev vs. Cameron Norrie: Match Preview
Both Zverev and Norrie have had a similar sort of campaign so far. Both players have won their first three matches in a similar style.
However, Norrie got a big win in his last match against Casper Ruud. The Brit beat the Norwegian in four sets, halting the World No. 11’s run in the Australian Open 2024. Included in his three-match win is also a three-set victory over Juan Pablo Varillas.
Alexander Zverev, on the other hand, has been in good form going into the season. With a feisty show in the United Cup finals, where he helped Germany lift the title, the World No. 6 started his campaign in the Grand Slam with a win against Dominik Koepfer.
However, he faced some resilience from Lukas Klein in his second match, which eventually went into a tiebreak in the fifth set.
Alexander Zverev vs. Cameron Norrie: Prediction
Both players faced off against each other on six occasions before this match. The German leads the way with four wins to his name, while the Brit has tasted victory only twice in those meetings.
The last time they faced each other was in the 2023 Vienna Open, where Zverev won the match in straight sets.
The German will be going into the match as the clear favorite. He has a better head-to-head record against the Brit and has been in pretty good form this season. Thus, he will be expected to win the match against Norrie with some difficulty.
Prediction: Alexender Zverev to win in four sets.
