Serena Williams‘ husband Alexis Ohanian has compensated for missing crepe day this past week. The co-founder of Reddit revealed this to fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating that there will be no breakfast off Olympia, his daughter.
Alexis Ohanian has shown his best parental duties alongside Serena Williams, making it fun and exciting for his fans. In December, the millionaire stated that he always interacted with his daughter Olympia through a secret note sometimes.
In the post on X, a picture of him holding the crepe in a blender Cup, Alexis Ohanian explained,
I missed crêpe day this past weekend so I made a batch tonight for tomorrow's breakfast for Jr. No days off for her.
Ohanian, who remains a huge fan of sports, has invested in both the golf league and the NFL. In December, he posted about how he invested in a pro soccer club named Angel City FC, with Olympia being a huge part of the investment at just 6.
However, Serena Williams who delivered her second baby in August would still be recuperating as the burden of the house duties rests on the shoulders of her husband. The couple wedded in November 2017 and soon welcomed Olympia in January of next year.
Alexis Ohanian addresses problems in women’s sports
During an interview with Bloomberg, Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams’ husband, explained the reasons behind the poor run of women’s sports. Without mincing words, the millionaire said that the under-investment of the sports has resulted in low expectations.
While also blaming poor funds, he also added that racism and sexism, including poor business decisions, were the main cause of the women’s game downfall.
I mean it’s the curse of low expectations. When we look back on the legacy of underinvestment in the last, call it 50 years, it will not just be a legacy of sexism and racism, which it is. It'll be a legacy of gross business incompetence.Ohanian
Ohanian also added that the lack of a devoted fanbase of women’s sports has caused poor brand partnerships because sports fans often buy into the brands that the club partners with and manage its advertisement properly.
Serena Williams’ husband has remained a high believer in women’s sports investing millions into it. When Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka‘s US Open final match gained a record viewership, he hailed the organizers for their effort in making the game highly intriguing to fans.
