Former World No.1 and US Open champion Andy Roddick accuses Republican politician Lauren Boebert of questioning the American military’s competency, simply as a base for re-election. He takes an accusatory tone while criticizing the Republicans for degrading the military.

The former American tennis player took to Twitter (Now called X) to call out Boebert for degrading the military. “Imagine being against our military. Calling them names, degrading them daily,” he said. He also accused her of withholding promotions when it came to them. Roddick also claimed that Boebert was manipulating heads of military sectors saying that there is a real threat to national and international security.

The former World No.1 also condemned Boebert, saying her actions were undermining democracy. He also claimed that the Republican politician was sabotaging the meaning of democracy simply because of re-election. “It’s just nuts to me. All for a base of re-election. Then you call yourself a patriot. Shame, “ said the former US Open champ. However, this is not the first time the American ace has taken a shot at Lauren Boebert.

Back in 2022, the Republican had responded, “When 9/11 happened, we didn’t ban planes, “as a response to ban guns to avoid school shootings. This simply did not sit well with Roddick. He had put forward a rhetorical question asking if the people were, “actually this dumb.” Nevertheless, Roddick has been very clear about his disagreements with the Republican politician.
