Amanda Anisimova produced a superb performance in the third round of the Australian Open. The American player was up against the former World No. 2 player, Paula Badosa. 

The Spaniard performed well in her last two matches and was in good momentum. However, it was not enough to beat the likes of Anisimova, who clinched the match with scores of 7-5, 6-4.

Besides the win, Amanda Anisimova clearly struggled with her stomach pain during the match.

After the match in the post-match conference, the 22-year-old said

For the uninitiated, Anisimova was sidelined due to burnout and mental health issues for eight months. The American decided to stay away from the game.
