Anastasia Potapova recently surprised the tennis world by showcasing her engagement ring on her Instagram post. She recently shared her joy with the world by confirming her engagement with fellow professional tennis player Aleksandr Shevchenko.

The Instagram post shared by the tennis player generated many likes and comments. In the post, the Russian was seen flaunting her ring lying alongside her new fiance Shevchenko. Both the Russians’ paths crossed on the tennis court, where they both converted their friendship into something more. Anastasia won her second WTA title this year and reached a career-high ranking of 24 in April. On the other hand, her fiance also broke through the top 100 this year and won his maiden ATP Masters title in Madrid. Earlier this year, Anastasia revealed her relationship with the Russian.

“We’ve been dating for six months. Obviously, I didn’t know how it was going to work because scheduling in tennis is never easy. But somehow we’ve been able to manage it and in fact, it’s like we’ve spent every week together and we see each other a lot, which is a very good thing,” said Potapova in an interview on Tennis.com.
