Andre Agassi, the 52-year-old retired American tennis player, is widely regarded as one of the most talented and accomplished players of his generation. During his illustrious career, he won 8 Grand Slam titles, and an Olympic gold medal and was ranked world No. 1 in the ATP rankings. Agassi’s skill, athleticism, and charismatic personality made him a fan favorite and a household name in the tennis world. Despite his numerous accomplishments, Agassi was not without controversies during his career.
Andre Agassi also came into the limelight due to controversies regarding his ex-wife Brooke Shields. The American actress recently revealed a lot of information about Agassi. With the release of her latest documentary, which premiered this Friday she revealed being sexually assaulted as a teenager. The actress, however did not name the culprit.
Talking about it, she said, “I didn’t fight that much. I just absolutely froze,” she says in the film. “I thought my one ‘no’ should have been enough.” The incident happened after her college graduation as she was meeting the culprit for dinner to discuss work.
Brooke Shields also opened up about Andre Agassi’s meth addiction recently
The pair of Andre Agassi and Brooke Shields captured a lot of headlines during their time as a couple and still manage to do so from time to time despite not being together anymore. In her biography ‘There was a little girl’, Shields last year revealed many details about Andre Agassi and her then-husband’s addiction to meth.
In her biography, she said, “He explained to me that for the first whole part of our relationship, he had been addicted to crystal meth, I was the one who had supported him unconditionally when he told me that he was basically bald and had been wearing hairpieces most of his adult life. Why should this have been any different?”
Apart from this, Andre Agassi also allegedly broke all of his trophies after a controversial scene with Shields in the popular sitcom ‘Friends’. Agassi was at the shooting when the scene where Shields licks Matt Le Blanc’s hand was shot.
