Andrea Petkovic has revealed the plight of tennis WAGS claiming it’s not easy. The former tennis player added that despite the rise of tennis players dating each other in the recent past, a lot of challenges take place behind the scenes.

In recent years, the sports community has seen the rise of tennis WAGS becoming more influential on the court. The likes of Morgan Riddle, who dates Taylor Fritz, and Costeen Hatzi, who is the girlfriend of Nick Kyrgios, just to mention a few. These ladies have now become celebrities, always cheering their boyfriends on the court and helping fans with some tips about the players.

However, Petkovic has revealed that the tedious schedule of tennis players makes it very hard for them to be dated. The former WTA player retired from tennis after the 2022 US Open due to a prolonged battle with attrition.

They say, there is no love in tennis. Who is they? Tennis people. -- It’s not easy dating a tennis player. They travel up to forty weeks a year, they are self-absorbed, and they will blame every loss on a text message you sent or the way you breathed in the player’s box, or just in general: on your existence. Is it still worth it?

Petkovic added that despite the tennis players dating each other, it has its challenges.

We see more and more tennis players dating each other. Elina and Gael. Paula and Stefanos. Katie and Alex. Katerina and Tomas. It’s understandable. Yet, it has its challenges, too. One of my friends told me the hardest thing about dating another tennis player is losing a match on the same day the other one has won.

In recent years, tennis players have begun to look like perfect couples. Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa, Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur, Gael Monfils, and Elina Svitolina have all made their love known to the public.

Andrea Petkovic reveals reason for Andy Murray’s struggle this season

Petkovic recently has been on a roll with some hot revelations and opinions. While the WAGs’ opinion might garner her some heat, Petkovic also gave her take on Andy Murray’s bad patch. She feels that Andy Murray‘s struggle in the ATP is because his accumulated experience can not help his aging body.

What I see or maybe has happened to him is that all of a sudden he is feeling the age and it just came out of nowhere and yes, he felt it for a while but all of a sudden it just feels like your experience cannot balance out the things you lose by biology and the aging process.
