Medcare and Aster Pharmacy have announced tennis star Andrey Rublev as their new brand ambassador. Medcare is a leading healthcare brand in Dubai, with a presence in Dubai and Sharjah.
In these two megacities, they have four hospitals and 20 medical clinics with top-notch facilities and technologies. Aster Pharmacy, on the other hand, is a pharma company based in Dubai, as per UAENews24/7.
Andrey Rublev will be seen promoting these two companies now. His duties of promotion are a bit restrictive as far as Aster Pharmacy is concerned, though, as he will only promote their wellness, nutrition, and lifestyle segments. Being an elite and top-level tennis player himself, he suits the task perfectly and might work as a trusted face for these companies, which is why they appointed him to begin with.
Currently, Rublev is in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he is playing in the 2023 World Tennis League. He is a part of the Team Eagles alongside Daniil Medvedev, Mirra Andreeva and Sofia Kenin. The Eagles have played two matches in the tournament so far, winning one of them. They lost the match against Aryna Sabalenka’s Kites but won their most recent match against Iga Swiatek’s Hawks.
Andrey Rublev himself has been performing phenomenally in the tournament so far. He makes a great doubles team with Daniil Medvedev, as the two are very close friends. Moreover, the Russian is in impeccable form currently. The Eagles are currently third on the points table, but they still have a chance of making a comeback.
Andrey Rublev’s controversial actions at UTS London
Recently, Rublev was at the center of controversy in the semi-final of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, London, which was played between him and Holger Rune. The Danish international ended up winning the final, but not before a major umpiring controversy. The overall judgment from the chair in the final was questionable.

In a very crucial moment in the match, Rublev took a three-point bonus, which would have given him three points instead of one if he scored the next point. However, the chair umpire seemingly did not notice that the Russian had asked for the three-point bonus and as a result, Rublev halted the match for several minutes due to this.
When the match finally continued, Rublev rose to the umpire’s chair to make it clear in the third set that he was taking a three-point bonus. According to many fans, it was kind of disrespectful and could have been avoided. Rublev’s actions divided the tennis world into opinions.
